Makis isn’t new to our team or our community. In fact, he first joined INFINITI of South Atlanta back in 2010 before moving to one of our sister locations up north. Over the past 15 years, he has built an impressive career within our organization as an owner, general manager, and more. Now, this Atlanta native is back where it all started, bringing his passion for people, business expertise, and deep understanding of the INFINITI brand home to our dealership. Earlier this month, INFINITI announced the 2017 INFINITI Q50 has been recognized by TrueCar, Inc.'s data and analytics subsidiary, ALG, with the 2020 ALG Pre-Owned Value Award. The Pre-Owned Value Award (POVA) recognizes three-year-old vehicles that are forecasted to depreciate the least over the subsequent 36 months in the used market. Based on ALG's residual value forecast for the 2017 model year, the pre-owned INFINITI Q50 has a higher residual value than other vehicles in the premium midsize market. This is the second year in a row an INFINITI vehicle has won ALG's premium midsize POVA, with the 2016 INFINITI QX70 securing the award in 2019. Award Recognition "We are proud to see that the 2017 Q50 has received the Pre-Owned Value Award," said Jeff Pope, Group Vice President of INFINITI Americas. "This award showcases the commitment our engineers have to consistently creating long lasting, quality vehicles for our customers while also ensuring that our customers feel they are making a wise investment." INFINITI's all-new 2.0-liter VC-Turbo (Variable Compression Turbo) gasoline engine is the world's first production-ready variable compression ratio engine. Shown for the first time at the 2016 Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris, the four-cylinder VC-Turbo promises to be one of the most advanced internal combustion engines ever created. With the ability to continuously transform, INFINITI's VC-Turbo technology uses an advanced multi-link system to seamlessly raise or lower the stroke of the pistons, detecting the car's driving condition and driver inputs, and instantly selecting the most suitable compression ratio. The engine is able to offer any compression ratio between 8:1 (typical for high performance engines) and 14:1 (used by many manufacturers for high efficiency). The result is an engine that combines the power of a high-performance 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine with the torque and efficiency of an advanced diesel powertrain - without the equivalent emissions - offering a compelling alternative to similarly-powered four-cylinder diesel engines. The VC-Turbo engine will be comparable to certain six-cylinder gasoline powertrains for performance, while significantly outperforming them in efficiency. The four-cylinder VC-Turbo engine achieves lower levels of noise and vibration than conventional internal combustion engines, particularly diesel, and is lighter and more compact than V6 units with comparable power outputs. INFINITI's VC-Turbo technology marks a significant leap forward for the internal combustion engine, joining other renowned powertrain innovations such as liquid-cooling, fuel injection, catalytic convertors, and turbocharging. The arrival of the variable compression ratio engine will establish new benchmarks for power, efficiency and emissions. INFINITI will be the first to bring this technology to the market in 2018. This new generation of powertrains will help our global growth and expansion of the INFINITI product portfolio." Every year we like to show appreciation to our staff by holding a Holiday Luncheon. During this time, we are able to spend time with our employees and show them how much they are appreciated. We also like to acknowledge the team members who go above and beyond everyday. This month we are pleased to announce Crystal Sherer as our Employee of the Year. Crystal is our Client Loyalty Manager at INFINITI of South Atlanta. Her positive attitude and ardent personality has made her stand out above the rest this month. Special shout outs to Andre Goolsby, Carson Gaither, and Dustin Thompson who were also awarded Salesperson, Service Advisor and Technician of the Year.

INFINITI of South Atlanta held a raffle on our Facebook page for the Big Game. The only qualification to enter the raffle was to like our page, and tell us who would win the Big Game. Ian Brathwaite of Union City, GA was our big winner of a $300 gift card. He not only liked our page, but he guessed the correct team. Congratulations Ian! For four years in a row, INFINITI of South Atlanta has sponsored the Tournament O' Fun to support Communities in School (CIS). The dealership was once again the title sponsor, and not only donated all the proceeds from the tournament, but also donated a portion of proceeds from every car sold for the month to CIS. Communities In Schools of Coweta County surrounds students with a community of support to help them stay in school and achieve in life. "The team at INFINITI of South Atlanta and EH Automotive holds a special place in our hearts for children and teenagers. We want to support a great program like CIS that gives children a chance to succeed, to reach their goals in life where they might not have been able to without the support and guidance from CIS," said David Watts, general manager of INFINITI of South Atlanta. The tournament was held at White Oak Golf Club, in Newnan, Georgia. Golfers enjoyed the Rocky Roquemore designed course that features two distinct layouts with 36 holes of great golfing. Everyone came together and celebrated making a difference in our community!

'Tis the season for giving! In honor of the season, INFINITI of South Atlanta wants to thank our community by contributing a portion of our vehicle sales to a local Nonprofit Organization. Christian City Christian City is a unique living community fifteen minutes south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It provides vibrant living, life-changing hope and a community of loving friends full of opportunities for people to live, thrive, get involved, serve and give. Southeastern Assistance in Healthcare Southeastern Assistance in Healthcare is dedicated to helping cancer patients who are undergoing treatment in the Newnan and greater Atlanta area, and their families, by lessening the financial burden of cancer.
